Prompting Trust publishes The Context, a regular briefing on developments in AI and security, and what they mean for our trust in technology.
Its name points to the question behind the work: what should people trust, on what evidence, and who remains accountable for acting?
It is for people curious about how AI affects decisions made by people and institutions—especially decisions someone must stand behind.
The Context is Prompting Trust's current briefing. It stays close to significant developments and the questions they raise in practice.
Each edition aims to distinguish evidence from interpretation, show its reasoning, and explain what the evidence means in practice. The Context reaches an editorial view. The reader still has to decide.
Synoptikon is an independent publication examining the relationship between humans and technology. Its current focus is the changing relationship between AI, human judgement, and accountability.

That is an extension of the context, not a missing chapter.
The Context is written and edited by David Hawks. He draws on experience across AI, security, and digital trust to examine how systems behave, how decisions are governed, and where accountability lies.
That experience shapes the questions. It doesn't decide the answers.
